সর্বনামও বদলায়: বক্তা বাবা, তাই I হয় he। ফলে I'll have হয় he would have, আর I'm not hungry হয় he was not hungry। দুটি অংশ জোড়া লাগে that দিয়ে, because থেকে যায়।

সঠিক রূপ: My father said that he would have a cup of tea because he was not hungry।

ফাঁদ হলো would have had: অনেকে ভাবেন সবকিছু perfect-এ যাবে। কিন্তু will শুধু would হয়, verb have যেমন আছে তেমন থাকে। would-এর পরে base form, তাই would had-ও ভুল।
