II. In each of the following questions, a sentence has been given in Active voice. Out of the four alternatives suggested select the one which best expresses the same sentence in Passive voice (Qs. 31-32). Who taught her such things?

প্রশ্নটা who দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্যকে passive করতে বলছে। Active বাক্যে who হলো subject, তাই passive-এ সেটা হয়ে যায় by whom, আর বাক্যের শুরুতেই বসে।

Taught হলো past tense, তাই passive-এ লাগবে was বা were সহ past participle taught। Object her হয়ে যায় subject she, আর she একবচন বলে was বসে।

প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য বলে was আগে, subject she পরে বসে: By whom was she taught such things? Such things দ্বিতীয় object হিসেবে পেছনেই থেকে যায়।

সবচেয়ে বড় ফাঁদ হলো By whom she was taught, যেখানে প্রশ্নের গঠন ভেঙে গেছে। আর by who ভুল, কারণ preposition by-এর পরে object form whom লাগে।
